Chimney Rock

Thursday we went to Chimney Rock Park. It was about 18 miles from Hendersonville. It has 75-mile views, nature trails, and a 404-foot waterfall with a bunch of rocks. Huge rocks. To get to the top of the mountain, the Chimney, you can take a 26 story elevator that lasts for exactly 30 seconds. This park is where "The Last of the Mohicans" was filmed. It was one of my favorite places.

We took the Blue Ridge Parkway from Hendersonville all the way to Cherokee. It was fun. Our goal was to see waterfalls but that's the only thing we didn't end up seeing....oh well.
