"But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ makes us clean from all sin." 1 John 1:7

BABYLON and PRAYER- Check it out and tell me what you think
-by Rosie Lovejoy.
"This is the vision I had during Praise and Worship on January 4th, 2003, the evening we were praying for a Pastor and his wife's departure to Israel...
It began with a vision of a huge lion, about ten to fifteen feet high. He was suspended about two to three feet off the ground. He was not a "cute" lion, rather His mane was large and shaggy, and He looked very viral and powerful. During the entire vision He was walking levitated two to three feet above the earth. The lion turned to me and thundered: "DO NOT MY PEOPLE KNOW THAT the TIME and the SEASON HAS CHANGED?" (I remember thinking that His grammar was odd, and that is not how we usually say things.) After thundering the question to me, He breathed, and flames of fire came out of His mouth. I heard the words "LION OF ZION" reverberate through my Spirit. The lion began to walk, suspended above the ground, breathing fire. The fire that was coming out of His mouth was not the refining fire we have been taught about, rather a fire that destroyed and burnt up all in its path. I knew in my spirit that it was a fire of judgment.
I next saw a view of a downtown business district of a large city. I think it was New York City, but I cannot be sure. I saw a building that resembled the Empire State Building, and a few buildings that surrounded it, collapse. The image was similar to the collapse of the Twin Towers. I screamed in my spirit, "No LORD!! NO!!!!!" As I was screaming, I saw the rubble and smoke from the collapsing buildings arise into a cloud that resembled a mushroom cloud. I do not know for sure if it was a nuclear mushroom cloud or a cloud of debris from the building. I was horrified and weeping in my spirit.
The lion reappeared and again turned His head and spoke to me. In a mournful voice He asked: "HOW ELSE am I GOING TO BRING IN the HARVEST?" (I instinctively knew that as a nation and people we are totally pre-occupied with our little lives and situations, and nothing short of calamity was going to bring us to question our existence and purpose for being. I knew it would take something of this magnitude to bring us to repentance.) The lion then spoke again: "I HAVE USED BABYLON IN the PAST to JUDGE MY PEOPLE, and I WILL USE BABYLON AGAIN to JUDGE MY PEOPLE."
The lion began to walk, and I saw groups of people standing and talking, some were joking with each other. Others were buying new cars and houses. Others were plotting financial gains and what to do with their assets during these uncertain times. I knew that this was the Church in America. Most were erect and oblivious to the approaching lion. A few were face down on the ground weeping and interceding. They were each covered with a coarse, brown cloak. There were very few on their faces.
THE LION THEN ROARED, and flames came out of His mouth, and burnt up the Christians who were standing. They became ashes and were no more. Horrified, I realized that I was standing to watch the unfolding scene, and I dove towards the dirt, skinning my chin as I landed. I was immediately covered from head to foot with the same coarse, brown cloak the intercessors on the ground were covered with. I raised my head to look out, and witnessed more and more erect Christians being burnt to a crisp.
It was clear to me that the only safe pace to be was on my face, in the dirt, interceding. The Lion of Zion then turned to me again, and spoke. "DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT I will KEEP MY HAND of PROTECTION OVER YOUR NATION, WHEN it is WILLING TO DIVIDE MY HOLY CITY, JERUSALEM?" I knew in that moment that YAHWEH was lifting His hand of protection from our nation, and that judgment had begun. I clung to the ground, as the lion walked over me, and those of us who were prostrate on the ground, still breathing fire. By this time, the worship music had concluded and the Pastor's wife was speaking about the offering, and how giving our tithes and offerings was a joyful act of worship. Again the Lion thundered:
"ARE my WAREHOUSES FULL? NO!!!! ARE MY PRIESTS TAKING CARE of MY WIDOWS and ORPHANS? NO!!!" I then saw men I knew were pastors and priests, standing tall and erect. Some were standing in front of Mercedes, others in front of large, expensive churches. The Lion spoke again: "MOST OF My PRIESTS DON'T CARE ABOUT My WIDOWS AND ORPHANS. THEY CARE About THEMSELVES, THEIR CARS AND HOUSES, and the CHURCHES THEY ARE BUILDING. THEY CARE About THEIR MINISTRY, NOT MINE." "Oh no!"
I thought. "These ministers are goners…" The Lion then opened His mouth and roared. Fire came out and consumed the "priests" who were standing beside their new cars and large, expensive churches. They became a pile of ashes on the ground next to their possessions. Many, many were consumed. The Lion continued to walk, breathing fire. Anywhere Christians were standing, rather than prostrate on the ground in sackcloth, they were consumed and turned to ashes....."
*PROSTRATE, INTERCEEDING - the only safe place to be amid the coming judgments....*

God is not calling us to a place, He's calling us to Himself
It's so easy for us to get caught up in life...why?
It's so easy for us to get distracted...why?
I know God has been showing me the importance of continual repentance. It's only by His mercy that we are even breathing at this very moment. It's so easy for us to become self-deceived. We live in a day and hour where everything is about the flesh. The spirit of anti-Christ is what we are warring against. We are not fighting a war against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of the air. I look at the people around me, we must fight. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. It's our responsibility as the Body of Christ to step up to the plate. Wanting to isn't enough. I've noticed in my prayer life over the past couple of weeks that I "want to" do a lot of things. I don't want to deceive myself, I want to walk in holiness, I want to walk in truth, I don't want to be lazy, I want to get out of bed early and seek His face...I want to do a lot of things but the fact is, I don't. It's not enough to want to, I must DO. It's like there is a calling for us to examine ourselves, to see where we stand, to make sure we are fully awake and to not let the things of this world rock us subtly asleep. We must keep pressing forward. May the Body, the Army rise up and fight this fight with all confidence in Him. We must have faith that He will do what He said He would do.
I pray that He would strip every bit of unbelief from His people. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives and dwells in us. May Jesus Christ's character be made manifest in His people. May His gaze be present in our eyes and may His words burn within our open mouths and hungry souls. May we not hold anything back from Him but lay it all down, cast it all aside and follow Him. He is worthy....Establish us in the faith Christ, root us and ground us so that we can be ready to answer anyone. Burn every bit of compromise out of us. Let us be pure, white, and holy, without blemish....

My Box
John Donne once said, “We are all conceived in close prison; in our mothers’ wombs, we are close prisoners all; when we are born, we are born but to the liberty of the house; prisoners still, though within larger walls.” Every single one of us in this earth are born prisoners but the question is, to what? We all live in a box, some big and some small. What is that box? What constitutes our house of morals? What is the foundation, walls, and ceiling of our ethics? What is the box that defines us? What are the walls that hold us and make us who we are? Yes, we are born into freedom but is there such a thing as freedom within a prison, freedom within a box? As I ask l myself these questions I must say that my box is the closest thing I have to freedom because it is truth. Some people, when they understand my box may say it’s pretty small. Some people may think, by looking from the outside in that I’m not free at all but, when I look from the inside out, this box is the only thing that frees me.
The foundation of my box is Jesus Christ and Him alone. He is solid and never changing. He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. Without Christ, who is the very foundation of my box, I am nothing. Some people may say that living like this is a sign of how weak I am as a human and they are one- hundred percent correct because in and of myself, there is no good thing. Because of the foundation of my box I am rooted and built up and established in the faith with much joy. Because of my box I am who I am, because of Christ in me and the judgment and mercy of the cross He bore.
The walls of my box are the Body of Christ, His people. They are the saints of God, the called out ones, chosen to be a holy habitation for Him. They represent gold, silver, and precious stones that will be able to endure the hottest fire. They are living blocks being fitly joined together. Each person in my life are the blocks of my walls that help make up and protect me. The walls of my box are a protection from anyone or anything that would try to cheat me through philosophy, empty deceit, and every wind of doctrine.
I was conceived in close prison, in the prison of myself and this world, held captive to the flesh, a slave to sin. This box is the closest thing I have to freedom and the only thing that entangles me is this flesh and this body. The ceiling of my box is the hope of Christ’s coming. In this box I groan, being burdened, because I want to be but further clothed in righteousness that my mortality may be swallowed up by life. Yes, I am in this world but I am not of it, a stranger simply passing through. My mortality is waiting to put on immortality. I embrace surrender to Christ. In this box I await regeneration. I am longing to be complete in Him, to be made complete and perfect in Christ. In this box my soul longs and travails for the coming of Christ when this dead is quickened. The ceiling of this box causes my soul to wait for eternity. It turns my eyes up and focuses them on the prize, an imperishable crown. In this box I wait and look to the ceiling with certainty. I fight not as one who beats the air, but this box causes me to discipline my body and bring it into subjection with the Truth.
This box is my life. I guess you could say that in this box I live in a prison of freedom but yet at the same time I am a slave to righteousness. Because of this box I cannot apologize nor compromise to appease others. My box doesn’t allow me to change or stretch its borders to fit in with others. It remains the same, never changing. One day of my life is an example of how my box comes into play. I wake up in the morning and the only thing that gets me out of bed is knowing that no matter what happens I’m called to walk like Christ which means that I have to die to what I want and get up. I go to school and this is where my box comes into play the most. Every day I have a choice to live by the standards of my box or not to. There have been times where I have forced myself out of those limits; times where I have compromised my box and tried to stretched its borders. The times where I haven’t spoken when I’m supposed to, the times where I haven’t been compassionate towards people or overlooked them, the times where I’ve lowered my standards. It’s those times that I regret. It’s like trying to breathe underwater because I’m trying to force myself to live and walk somewhere that I do not belong. It’s those times that show me that I do not have true life outside of my box because the moment I step out of it I become imprisoned to the world. I am in my box, in Christ, in fellowship with His people, all awaiting the day when He returns. So here I come to an end quoting John Donne: “We are all conceived in close prison; in our mothers’ wombs, we are close prisoners all; when we are born, we are born but to the liberty of the house; prisoners still, though within larger walls.” This box as a whole contains life, the life that only comes from Christ. It is in this box where I live and move and have my being.

Just some things I liked...
1. "Rachel gave a natural cause for not rising to be hospitable to Laban. Have I ever, Lord, because I am concealing idols within, given physical reasons for not rising in Thy service? Oh, may I be cut off entirely from the world, concealing no longer the false gods. May that in me which holds them be slain as Jacob declared it should be."
2. "Lord I want to be centering my interest on Thee, the God of God's house. Be then revealed to me that my desires might be fixed on the primary thing, Christ."
3. "Lord, keep me willing to be a pilgrim in the land of promise."
4. "In Benjamin, Jacob's life was "bound up". So in me God's life is bound up in much the same sense. His nature is given me. His love is jealous for my life. All His attributes are woven into the pattern of my spirit. What a God is this! His life implanted in every child. Thank you, Father, for this. Love through me today."
5. "Father, give empowering grace to be both faithful and fervent that I be not silent before Thy Son."
6. "I know not what He shall have of me until I am outside the worlds system- until it is crucified to me."
7. "I must share if I would keep, Theses blessings from above. Ceasing to give I cease to have, such is the law of love."
8. " He is sent before to prepare the situations I must face, He keeps me in the way."
9. "Transparency allows for no impurities or flaws."
10. "If I display earnestness for God's work, He will give strength and wisdom to accomplish it."

Do you really want to know??
Then it was like for a season there the blogs just "died". Did anyone else notice that? There was (and still are) those who just stopped blogging all that often. Why? What happened? The Lord didn't stop speaking, did He? Really, I want to know. There must be a reason, because the change of subject on the blogs has been a little drastic from what it used to be. And that's not bad. It just makes me curious as to why..
Now, I'm trying to think of where to start an answer to Bekahs' question. As you can see I haven't posted in exactly a month. Really, I haven't truly posted since July 15th. Pretty pitiful to say the least. This is why; we started this blog thing to keep in touch and know what God was doing after we started house church since we didn't see each other as often. Like Bekah said, it started off amazing! The Word was living and if I'm not mistaken it still is... But are we walking in it? I have not one problem with random posts about interesting things, I simply have a problem when those things are all we talk about. Where is the provoking one another to love and good works like there used to be? Where is the revelation?
God hasn't stopped talking to me - but if this is part of "relationship with each other", then I refuse to give and give and give because that's not relationship. I will go find people who will listen and give feedback. And that's what I've done. I honestly don't see any point of posting something of substance and getting little to no feedback. I'm not looking for praise or a "That was good!" I don't want to know if what I said was cool. I want to know if it applies to you, what it means in your life right now at this present moment, or even if you think I'm wrong! Where is the witness of the Spirit in each other? I've gotta have something to work with here. I'm not about to waste my time typing up what God is showing me so everyone can read it and then be left not knowing if it helped or wondering if I'm completely crazy! I can call the people who I know are seeking and searching, who are going to walk this out with me, and explain it in less than half the time it takes me to type it. I really want to pour out my heart.
So, hopefully this was an answer to Bekahs' question. I'm not holding anything back from people anymore. But I completely agree with Bekah as to "What's the point?" So... what else is there to say? Because in all reality, it's not about the latest iPod, what's on YouTube, TV shows - not that these things are all bad - but there has to be balance. It's all about Him… or is it? Christ should be number one in everything, especially in my relationships. That's all I want out of them, Christ.

some more quotes to think about...
- "It was strictly forbidden to preach to other prisoners, as it is in captive nations today. It was understood that whoever was caught doing this received a severe beating. A number of us decided to pay the price for the privilege of preaching, so we excepted their terms. It was a deal: we preached and they beat us. We were happy preaching; they were happy beating us - so everyone was happy." - Richard Wurmbrand
- "Most Christians don't hear God's voice because we've already decided we aren't going to do what He says." - A.W. Tozer "I can tell how much God you have by how much entertainment you need." - A.W. Tozer
- "The weakness of so many modern Christians is that they feel too much at home in the world. In their effort to achieve restful adjustment to unregenerate society they have lost their pilgrim character and become an essential part of the very moral order against which they are sent to protest. The world recognizes them and accepts them for what they are. And this is the saddest thing that can be said about them. They are not lonely, but neither are they saints." - A.W. Tozer
- "O Jesus, our crucified Redeemer, teach us not only to believe on Thee, but to abide in Thee, to take Thy Cross not only as the ground of our pardon, but also as the law of our life. O teach us to love it not only because on it Thou didst bear our curse, but
because on it we enter into the closest fellowship with Thyself, and are crucified with Thee." - Andrew Murray
- "Religion today is not transforming people; rather it is being transformed by the people. It is not raising the moral level of society; it is descending to society's own level, and congratulating itself that it has scored a victory because society is smilingly
accepting its surrender." - A.W. Tozer
- "The greatest difference between Christians and the world around them is the building where they spend their time sleeping on Sunday." -Rikkert Zuiderveld

- "It is more important that God be glorified then that I be saved!" - A.W Tozer
- "Until Christ works out in you an inner crucifixion which will cut you off from self-infatuation and unite you to God in a deep union of love, a thousand Heavens could not give you peace." - F. J. Huegel
- "A foolish physician he is, and a most unfaithful friend, that will let a sick man die for fear of troubling him; and cruel wretches are we to our friends, that will rather suffer them to go quietly to hell, then we will anger them, or hazard our reputation with them." - Baxter, Richard

some quotes to think about...
- "The Church of Jesus Christ is largely sleeping, like a great bedroom, and you have all the Christians in bed and their all sleeping and their all saying, "Please, DON'T WAKE ME UP, I want to sleep on." And of course when God starts to offer His revival people cannot sleep, you can't sleep in the church, but the Spirit of God awakes the people..."Awake, Awake, Put on Christ, wake it up you sleepy Christians, Awake all that sleep, arise from the dead, Christ will give you light!". ~Duncan Campbell/Eph 5:14
- "That world outside there is not waiting for a new definition of Christianity, it's waiting for a new DEMONSTRATION of Christianity!"~Leonard Ravenhill
- "Anything that you love more than Jesus Christ is an idol. Don't care what it is. I'm embarrassed to be part of the Church of Jesus Christ tonight which is so totally radically different from the new testament. So incompetent. So blind. So powerless. I've come to this conclusion, there is a move of God in American today but not amongst the unsaved. It's among the redeemed who are determined by the grace of God to be part of the Bride, and to be part of the Bride you have to be divorced from everything in the world!" ~Leonard Ravenhill
- "Do we not need a very much greater conception of how tremendously valuable a true expression of the Church is to the Lord? It's priceless. May the Lord give us more of this anguish for His church as a whole, and then...it will be precious to Him. ~A.W. Tozer
- “And there’s no room for Him in the inn. He got a bit older and there was no room in His family, his family turned on Him. He went to the temple and the temple turned on Him. And when He died there was no room to bury Him, He died outside of the city. Well why in God’s name do you expect to be accepted everywhere? How is it that the world couldn’t get on with the holiest man that ever lived and it can get on with you and me? Are we compromised? Are we of no spiritual stature? Are we of no righteousness that reflects on their corruption?” ~Leonard Ravenhill
- "Entertainment is the devils substitute for joy, and when you get satisfaction out of that dumb thing, you joy will diminish." ~Leonard Ravenhill
- "A servant of God has but one Master." ~George Muller
- "Why should a person come to the cross? Why should a person embrace death with Christ? Why should a person be willing to go in identification down to the cross and into the tomb and up again? I'll tell you why, because it's the ONLY way God can glory out of a human being." ~Paris Reidhead
- "As long as we are content to live without revival, we will." ~Leonard Ravenhill
- "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." ~Jim Elliot

- "Defend the Bible? I would just as soon defend a lion. Just turn the Bible loose. It will defend itself." ~Charles H. Spurgeon
- "You can draw near to God even though you cannot say a word. A prayer may be a crystallized tear. A tear is enough water to float a desire to God." ~Charles H. Spurgeon

- "Is the world crucified to you, or does it fascinate you?" ~Leonard Ravenhill

- "Every man gives his life for what he believes and every woman gives her life for what she believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing and yet they give their lives to that little or nothing. - "God I pray, light these idle sticks of my life and may I burn up for thee, consume my life my God for it is thine. I seek not a long life but, a full one like Yours Lord Jesus." ~Jim Elliot
- "People who do not know the Lord ask why in the world we waist our lives as missionaries. They forget they too are spending their lives and when the bubble has burst they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have waisted." ~Nate Saint
- "We are going to see increasing opposition to the Gospel message in days to come in America because the Gospel message is going to become increasingly biblical, the Gospel message is going to become increasingly radical and revolutionary, and the Gospel message is going to become a threat to this world system. The Gospels going to become and increasing threat to worldliness and materialism and greed and the gods of sports, entertainment, fashion. The Gospel is going to become an increasing threat to the rising time of satanism and false religions. And the results will be the same as in the book of Acts...uproar, persecution, and great moving of God." ~Unknown (2004)

Carnality
What does it mean to be carnal?
My goal in doing this study is not to form my own opinion on what carnality is but to see the Truth. I want pure Truth even if it rips me to pieces…
“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.”
~Romans 8:6,7
Strong’s
sarx (sä'rks) G4561
1) flesh (the soft substance of the living body, which covers the bones and is permeated with blood) of both man and beasts
2) the body
a) the body of a man
b) used of natural or physical origin, generation or relationship
1) born of natural generation
c) the sensuous nature of man, "the animal nature"
1) without any suggestion of depravity
2) the animal nature with cravings which incite to sin
3) the physical nature of man as subject to suffering
3) a living creature (because possessed of a body of flesh) whether man or beast
4)****the flesh, denotes mere human nature, the earthly nature of man apart from divine influence, and therefore prone to sin and opposed to God****
Seems to be derived from “to draw” “to draw off”, and to signify what can be stripped off from the bones.
Root word: saroō (sä-ro'-ō) G4563
To sweep, clean by sweeping. Reminds me of repentance.
Dictionary.com
1. pertaining to or characterized by the flesh or the body, its passions and appetites; sensual.
2. not spiritual; merely human; temporal; worldly
3. relating to sexual appetites
Synonyms~ bodily, lustful, lecherous, fleshly, satisfactions.
Latin= carnalis carn=flesh+alis
So to be carnality=the flesh...
Romans 8:8- :those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”
Romans 8:13- “if you live according to the flesh you will die…put to death the deeds of the flesh and live.”
Reminds me of Romans 3:23- the wages of sin is death. So carnality=flesh=sin, it’s all the same.
If it says to put to death the deeds of the flesh what are they? They will be the definition of carnality.
The deed/works of the flesh
Galations 5:19-21
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Colosians 3:8-10
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.”
1 Corithians 3:3
“And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?”
Galations 5:16~ “walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
How do we do that? Romans 8:13 says that we are to mortify the flesh. This is straight from the book I’ve been reading:
For the outlook of the lower nature is enmity with God; it is not subject to the law of God; indeed it cannot be; those who live on such a level cannot possibly please God. But that is not how you live. You are on the spiritual level, if only God’s Spirit dwells within you; and if a man does not possess the spirit of Christ, he is no Christian. But if Christ is dwelling within you, then although the body is a dead thing because you sinned, yet the spirit is life itself because you have been justified. Moreover, if the Spirit of Him who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give new life to your mortal bodies through his indwelling Spirit. It follows, my friends, that out lower nature has no claim upon us; we are not obligated to live on that level.Galations 5:13, 14
“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
2 Peter 1: 3, 4
“…as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
1 John 2:15-17
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”
Loving the world means it and the things in it. money, material things, ideas…
Proverbs 10:4
“Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death.”
Proverbs 11:4
“Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.”
This is the spiritual death, if we don’t repent we will die.
So to love the world and the things in this world is carnality and if we are loving the world we can’t love the brethren. 1 John 1:7 says that we have to walk in the light as He is in the light, and have fellowship with one another, so that the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” So the blood can’t cover our sins if we don’t love the Body instead we love the world. It’s called being selfish. The word says that we have to walk in the Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit
Galations 5:22-25
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Philippians 3:3
“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”
Colossians 1:21-23
“And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight- if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard..”
Galations 6:8
“For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”
Lets go back to 2 Peter 1:4 (by being partakers of the divine nature, we escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.) We must be living in His divine nature.
The Divine Nature
How do we have this?
Romans 6:4-7
“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.”
2 Corithians 10:3-5
”For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
You can go to 1 John 2:18 where it talks about the spirit of antichrist.
2 Corinthians 7:1
“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
Repentance is key in living in the Spirit. If we walk in Him we become like Him. We have to put to death the carnal man, the flesh. As the body of Christ we should not walk in carnality.
Titus 3:1, 3-5, 8
“Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared…This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.”
As we come to the knowledge of Christ by living 2 Peter 1:5-11 we put off the old nature, the old man, the carnal which again, is anything that can be put of, we repent and no longer walk in these things. As we strive to be like Him He said that if we seek we’ll find Him, knock and the door will be opened and He will come into us.
2 Corinthians 6:16-18
“And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them.I will be their God,And they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord.Do not touch what is unclean,And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you,And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty."
This is the promises talked about in 2 Corinthians 7:1 and 2 Peter 1:3, 4. By repenting and living a life in the Spirit and living by bearing fruit unto righteousness, which comes by trials and tribulations, we know Him and take on His nature, putting off our carnal nature, and by this according to 2 Peter 1:4, we escaped the corruption that is in the world through carnality.
It’s a war and we must remember that our weapons are not carnal. We cannot fight unless we are of Him.
Matthew 12:24-28
“Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, "This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons." But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”
Carnality cannot fight carnality.

I made 16 years today
My Parents: Thank you for all you two have done for me. It truly is a blessing to have godly parents who strive to be closer to Christ. Thank you for your patience and your constant love even when I am difficult. I want to tell you both from the bottom of my heart that I love you. You both have always been there and I am so thankful. A lot has happened these past 16 years and God has changed us as individuals and as a family as a whole. He is faithful. I love you both and couldn't ask for anything more.
Nan & Bro. Teryl: You two are right up there with my parents. I love you both with an inexpressible love. You both have always been there and shown my family what The love of God truly is. You have stayed with all of us through the good and the bad. All the late night phone calls and coffee runs (Nan). Thank you both for your dedication and the grace that you both walk in. I LOVE YOU. Yes, you too Bro.Teryl and I'm really sorry I called you a heifer! I'll take one dance for my wedding off the list.
Penny: "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me hapPY when skies are grey..." That's how I really feel- I just smile when I think of you! I love you so much! (and Jocko)
Amber: Wow. I don't even think I can type this all up. You mean so much to me, you are such a blessing! I know I can call you at anytime and you're there and will talk to me. I've watched you grow up since you were 14 and it has been and still is such an encouragement to me. Your like my big sister...I'm serious. You're faithful...that's the best word I can think of at this moment. You have challenged me in the Word and I'm so blessed to have you in my life. I love you more than I can say.
Bekah&Jordan: God has brought us a LONG way and we have a lot more to go but, I want to tell you both that I love you. Thank you for everything ya'll have done for me. I pray that the Truth would continue to rule and reign in our relationships with each other and God would move us on to perfection.
Ally: Like you said in my card, there has been many notes and letters about how thankful I am for you! I'm going to write another one because I' m running short on time.
Breigh&Hannah: I love you both with all my heart. It is amazing and such a privilege to be able to watch you two grow up in Him. I love to just listen to ya'll. You both light up my day when I think or see you. I love you both and can't wait to see what God is going to do.
Jamie: well, I must say we too have been through a lot. The police were involved most of the time but hey...childhood memories I will never forget. I know I don't see you often but I want you to know that I love you. And I am trying to finish this post before midnight so I have to cut it short.
and last...just because I have no more time, there is many more people...Lesley: I love you so much. you and an answered prayer and every time I look at you you are a reminder to me that He is real. Keep your eyes on Him and run on the path of righteousness never looking to the left or right. Don't follow in my footsteps but His. I love you a whole bunch.

2 Peter 1:3-7
"To those who have obtained like precious faith:
with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth."
Christianity seems so simple. It says if you do the things in bold you will never stumble. So...if it is possible for us not to sin and He has given us everything we need to walk in righteousness, then why don't we?? We say that it is impossible but the Word says the complete opposite. We don't like to do it because it hurts. It's supposed to hurt though, that's why it's called dying. It just blows my mind away that we try to make it so complicated yet it is so simple and we still can't follow him. If we are established in the PRESENT truth, not past or future truth, but NOW, we will walk in love, self-control, diligence, the fruit of the Spirit, not the fruits. The fruit of the Spirit is the characteristics of a Christian..... God is calling us on to perfection yet we can't move until we forsake the sin. How can we grow if God has to keep feeding us the same baby food we can't move on. If we keep going around the same bush, if we refuse to repent and move on, it's sin. We talked Tuesday about a good conscience. Do we have a good conscience in what the passage above is talking about? I would say that is a valid question. We need to allow Him to show us our heart and change.

I have a question...
My question is this: Have the old things in our lives truly passed away? or have they been simply pushed to the side? That word "if". If you are in Christ the old things, old attitudes, problems, sins, should be gone. If you are in Christ those old things will be passed away- that's a fact. All things have become new, that means EVERYTHING. God has really been convicting me about this. Why should we any longer justify our sin, or each others sins. Sin is sin. Why are we so quick to make sin look like innocent mistakes? If we are not new creatures living and waking in the newness of Christ we aren't in Him. Isn't that what this verse says? So, no more justification or excuses we are either going to be Christians or we aren't. We are called to be people who do things not talk about them.
Purity. That is the word Jesus Christ is calling His people to. We need to washed. Blameless without blemish. Are we washed? Is the desire to be washed even there? When are we going to have to stop being begged to serve Him and do it? we need to live in the Truth, are we? really??
"Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-- unless indeed you fail the test?" 2 Corinthians 13:5

my head vs. my heart
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, LordStill I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Blessed be Your nameWhen the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your nameBlessed be Your nameOn the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name.

I don't have a title for this one...sorry
By the way- for your personal amusement, I spilt water all over my pants yesterday at lunch, then in 5th hour I stapled my papers to my jacket....yeah, I know!
True Christianity... we understand what that means. Or do we?
Philippians (the end of chapter one and all of two):
Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is in me
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Okay, what is a bondservant? A bondservant is someone who, after released from slavery, stays with his/her master without getting paid. It's their choice. Normally back then the master would take the (left it think) ear and pierce it. That hurts. Not only does that hurt but a bondservant doesn't benefit because he's not paid- he simply wants to serve his master out of love and obedience. That is how we should be. Willing to serve Jesus Christ without ever expecting anything. To simply serve Him because He's worthy and not trying to make a deal with Him. It also says that He humbled Himself and became obedient even to death on a cross. How far are we willing to go? The word says that true Christianity is about taking up our cross and DYING to ourselves- it's not easy, He never said it would be.
It says to WORK out our salvation. Like earlier- IT'S NOT EASY! We say all the time how to do things but when are we going to ACT on them? When are you going to get up and start DOING something. We have to get a holy dissatisfaction with where we are. The difference between a dissatisfaction and a holy one is this, this is how Breigh explained it last night and I really like it: dissatisfaction is like a person sitting on their couch crying and saying "I need a job, I don't have any money, I need a job." and all they ever do is complain about not having a job and not having money but never go out and get one. A holy dissatisfaction is when a person realizes they don't have a job and instead of only talking about, they get up and go get one. If all we ever do is talk about how much sin is in us and what we have in us we don't like we will never be set free. When are you going to get up and fight? I'm sick of seeing the Body of Christ defeated. I'm sick of seeing the Body of Christ sick. It's time to get off our spiritual and physical couch's, dye to ourselves, and work. It's not easy but we have to suck it up and carry our cross. If someone truly wants to change- they will, there is nothing else to it. This verse clearly says that God will not only give you the desire to do so but also the ability to do it so what excuse do have? He will fully equip you. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
Notice: right after Paul says do work out your salvation he says to do ALL things without grumbling and complaining. How many times in the midst of your walk, when you're going through the fire, do you complain about it? How many times do you question God? "why do I have to go through this?". I can tell you- it's more than you think. He says to do everything without complaining. By doing this we become lights that shine in the midst of a dark world. What do you want? Do you want to walk it out or not?
Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all."
Are you able to say that you are being poured out as a drink offering on your brother's and sister's in Christ faith? Can you say that today? Look at your relationships, are they growing, do you know your brothers and sisters in Christ, do you know their heart- most importantly, do they know yours? Most of us can't answer yes to that and if you can't it's time to reevaluate your relationship with Jesus Christ. It's time to check your foundation. Dying to self, being poured out, being a servant, preferring others above yourself, these things are not meant to be easy. That's why it's called dying, killing your flesh. True Christianity is getting out of the bed every morning, looking in the mirror, and determining that you're going to kill the person you see and live a life that will bring Him glory. You'll do whatever it takes. Every breath, every heartbeat should be for His glory and nothing else. We need to pray that every drop of our being be saturated with Him.
This is not the end, only a beginning of what God wants to do.

the best day
Leeland
Tears Of The Saints
There are many prodigal sons
On our city streets they run
Searching for shelter
There are homes broken down
People’s hopes have fallen to the ground
From failures
This is an emergency!
There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
We’re crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home
There are schools full of hatred
Even churches have forsaken
Love and mercy
May we see this generation
In it’s state of desperation
For Your glory
This is an emergency!
Sinner, reach out your hands!
Children in Christ you stand!
Sinner, reach out your hands!
Children in Christ you stand!
And all Your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home
Carried To The Table
Wounded and forsaken
I was shattered by the fall
Broken and forgotten
Feeling lost and all alone
Summoned by the King
Into the Master’s courts
Lifted by the Savior
And cradled in His arms
I was carried to the table
Seated where I don’t belong
Carried to the table
Swept away by His love
And I don’t see my brokenness anymore
When I’m seated at the table of the Lord
I’m carried to the table
The table of the Lord
Fighting thoughts of fear
And wondering why
He called my name
Am I good enough to share this cup
This world has left me lame
Even in my weakness
The Savior called my name
In His Holy presence I’m healed and unashamed
You carried me, my God You carried me

Martyrs and Thieves
It presses harsh hope against time
In the absence of martyrs there's a presence of thieves
Who only want to rob you blind
They steal away any sense of peace
Though I'm a king I'm a king on my knees
And I know they are wrong when they say I am strong
As the darkness covers me
So turn on the light and reveal all the glory
I am not afraid
To bare all my weakness knowing in meekness
I have a kingdom to gain
Where there is peace and love in the light, in the light
Oh I am not afraid
To let Your light shine bright in my life, in my life
Oh I... am, I...
There are ghosts from my past who've owned more of my soul
Than I thought I had given away
They linger in closets and under my bed
And in pictures less proudly displayed
A great fool in my life I have been
Have squandered till pallid and thin
Hung my head in shame and refused to take blame
For the darkness I know I've let win
Can you hear me?
Well I've never been much for the baring of soul
In the presence of any man
I'd rather keep to myself all safe and secure
In the arms of a sinner I am
Could it be that my worth should depend
By the crimson stained grace on a hand
And like a lamp on a hill Lord I pray in Your will
To reveal all of You that I can
There's a place in the darkness that I used to cling to
It presses harsh hope against time...

Friends
Friends, we’ve all had them and have them now. I’ve been pondering lately. I’ve had “friends” in my life but were they really friends?
The Strongs says that a friend is:
An associate. he who associates familiarly with one, a companion. One of the bridegroom's friends who on his behalf asked the hand of the bride and rendered him various services in closing the marriage and celebrating the nuptials
The dictionary says that a friend is:
a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A person who gives assistance, patron, supporter a person who is on good terms with another. Someone who is not hostile. Rare. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts, and one who supports.
When I think of the word friend I think of someone who loves me just as much as I love them. Someone who I would give my life for without thinking twice about it. Someone who would never hurt me intetionally and who would always speak the truth no matter how bad it may hurt. A true friend will never leave me, will never just walk away. A true friend is someone I can give my heart to and know they would never crush it, harm it, or drop it. My heart is safe with them. Now I’m not saying friends have to be perfect but a true friend would never talk about me behind my back, will never try to hurt the people I love. A true friend is someone who is willing to walk in the light. To walk in righteousness and flee all darkness. I must to say that true friendship HAS to be in the light. There are no hidden agendas, no secrets, no lies, only love and truth. A true friend never tries to act like everything is ok. They are always trying to serve, listen, and give godly advice. A friend is one who will admit they were wrong. A friend is quick to close their mouth and listen. They are not always trying to justify themselves. Their standards are that of Christ- no less, no compromise. They are willing to pour out their heart, willing to be transparent. Nothing can keep them from fellowship with Him or the body.
So what am I trying to say here?- I guess I'm trying to say that we really need to look at our friendship and see if they truly do match up with the Word. Not only our friendships or relationship with each othe but with God. Are we really walking in the light or only half way? because you know that only walking half way in the light is not walking in the light. If the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness? There is no gray with God, no shade, no lukewarmness- it says that if we are lukewarm He will spew us out of His mouth. I know we've heard this all before but I believe that we need to be jolted back into reality at times. I think that we all need to sit back and examine our relationships and truly see if they are pure. And you know that if you sit back and see that you don't have any relationships at all then we have a problem. I just encourage all of you to get into the word, set aside time and look at your hearts. God is wanting to move but He can't if we start backing up. THERE CAN BE NO COMPROMISE WHATSOEVER (in any area of our lives). We have to walk in righteousness, pure in word, pure in deed, and most importantly pure in our relationships. Your relationships with people reflects your relationship with God, I just ask you to truly think about this and let God show you whatever He needs to. It all comes back to the question: are you willing to serve Him because He's worthy? It's not about us, we need to see to it that the Lamb that was slain receives the reward of His suffering in us.
