stop this!

God says to come out of complacency. Stop playing around. Stop doubting, stop wondering, stop trying to hide. Focus. God is saying WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!! His people are starting to get a little sleepy. That's the problem here. Wake Up children of God, wake up! Stand up and pick up your heads. Straighten your legs and hold up your arms. Stop distracting yourself with the things of this world. Stop making excuses. Peace Be still and know that He is God. Get up and fight. Build up your faith. Pray. Run. Run and don't stop.

Souls: don't be downcast. Be on fire
Minds: be clean, in subjection to the Word.
Spirits: be full of the Word and of His Spirit. Be hungry....pray...with despe

Fifteen great things in my life right now.

1. God is faithful no matter what. God never will not overwhelm me. I can truly sit here and say that I have, in the last 3 days fallen completely in love with Him all over again. At the very moment in my life where I think I've lost it is the very moment He fixes everything He's God and nothing that happens can change Him, move Him, confuse Him. He holds the world in the hollow of His hand and is forever faithful.

2. The compassion. I've seen that the compassion that I've never had yet always prayed for, He has finally given me just an ounce. But that one ounce seems like a river. I can't explain it, I am so grateful for who He is and how great He is. My cry is His cry. To be one with Him just as Him and the Father are one. I WANT HIS HEART and if I don't get it then lifeÂ’s not worth living. Hungry, desperate, thirsty, I want His heart. I want to fall deeper in love with Him.

3. Family. If it weren't for my family that He has given me I trulywouldn'tnÂ’t be where I am right now. I am so thankful. Even though our relationships aren't perfect God is changing them right now and drawing us closer together. It's amazing when you live in the house with people and find out that you don't really know their heart.

4. Friends. Relationships in Him are something that I need to live. I have seen through the past couple of months how much friendship means to me. I want to know every one of your hearts and I want ya'll to know my heart.

Ok this might be considered cheating but I don't care. I can't just sit here and do this right now. I can't separate things into groups. All I know is that God is doing something in me at this very moment that is unspeakable. It's something I haven't felt in a LONG time. I just want more than Him. I see these people I'm around every day and I feel their hurt. I feel their heartache and it's unbearable. I hear what their crying out at night and my heart is broken. I used to wonder how Mrs. Diane could cry over the lost and I know now. I've prayed for this for so long. I've prayed for open doors and their there. God is so faithful. God opens up His hand and satisfy every need. He is merciful and compassionate. He is so big and I am so small and yet He cares. I want to be broken . So broken that I can't put myself back together and neither can anyone else. Only Him. I want Him and Him alone to rule and reign, and speak, and instruct, and guide. I want my heart to be so bare, so stripped. I want you all to know me as He knows me. I just want to be a vessel. and empty vessel for him. I WANT to go through the wilderness and the fire. It's worth it, it really is worth it. who he is and what He's done I can't comprehend and I don't need to. He is God and I am not. He is almighty, He is all powerful, and He is worthy. I want to know that every breath that take is in Him. I want Him and nothing else matters anymore. I don't need to try to figure it out I don't need to understand. He is, He is. There is nothing else but him. I want to be able to look at people and say to them that if they look and do what I do, they're pleasing Him. He is worthy and I'm not holding back any longer. If tonight is the last time I had I want to spend it praising Him. Time is something I can't control.

JESUS HAVE YOUR WAY. BREAK ME, BREAK ME, I DON'T WANT TO GET IN THE WAY AGAIN. I AM RUNNING, YOU TRULY HAVE BECOME MY SOULS CRY. I WANT TO BE ONE JUST AS YOU AND HIM ARE ONE. NO MORE OF THIS. HEART, WAKE UP- SOUL, WAKE UP- JESUS SHAKE ME!!! I NEED YOU MORE THAN FOOD, MORE THAN DRINK, MORE THEN KNOWLEDGE, MORE THAN SLEEP, MORE THAN COMFORT. JESUS HAVE YOU WAY. STRIP ME, MOLD ME, CHANGE ME, SHOW ME. YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH. HEAR THE CRY OF MY HEART, MY SOUL, THE VERY ESSENCECE OF ME NEEDS YOU. JESUS.

just havin' fun...

Well, this Christmas was good...relaxing. I did find myself missing everyone up in Alex. I got a camera. As you can tell I favor black and white.

Me and Les were really bored riding to Pollock.

This is when it's on micro- that's my knee

Here's my ipod I got. I couldn't get the picture clear enough.

Yes... It's GREEN *big smile*

This is @ bro. Danny and mrs. Sara's house (it was cold)

I was showing Sharon how fast it can take pictures-

it's like a movie when you look at them - i just didn't
feel like uploading them tonight.

This was at nan at teryls, Bro. Teryl was

teaching deLanie how to "punch like a man" .

Over the river and through the woods...

To Grandmother's house we go
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow
Over the river and through the woods
Oh how the wind does blow
It stings the toes and bites the nose
As over the ground we go
Over the river and through the woods
To have a full day of play
Oh, hear the bells ringing ting a ling ling
For it is Christmas Day
Over the river and through the woods
Trot fast my dapple gray
Spring o'er the ground just like a hound
For this is Christmas Day
Over the river and through the woods
And straight through the barn yard gate
It seems that we go so dreadfully slow
It is so hard to wait
Over the river and through the woods
Now Grandma's cap I spy
Hurrah for fun the pudding's done
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie.

We're about to leave- I'm sure I'll post later....I'll miss ya'll!

Fifteen personal picky food rules.

1. No Touching! I really don't mind if people, depending who it is, touch my food but the food itself can't touch. I won't freak out but it does bother me. I want to taste each thing.

2. The difference between bowls and plates. Certain foods go in certain dishes. Salads go in bowls. Spaghetti- I CAN'T eat it on a plate, has to be a bowl. Any kind of meat has to be on a plate. Dip for chips or what not has to be in a little mini bowl. I could go on...There is one thing. Eggs-scrambled, can go in either or.

3. Cold & Ice. My drink can't just be cold as in being in the refrigerator; it has to have ice in it. I prefer my cup to be filled with ice first (half way) and THEN the drink poured on top.

4. Hot, not lukewarm. My food has to be HOT. Warm doesn't work. If it's neither hot nor cold but lukewarm I will literally spew it out my mouth. If the food is supposed to be hot I should have to blow on it before I can eat it. If it's supposed to be cold I should be able to get a brain freeze if I eat it to fast. (The only thing that this doesn't apply to is potato salad!)

5. Coffee. Give me the real stuff. I prefer to have real coffee, as in no decafe. Although my body is so immune to the caffeine that I don't get any slight bit of a buzz, it does taste a whole lot better with it.

6. Sandwiches and the law of mayo. Now, I DO NOT like mayo but if it is on the sandwich it has to be on the side by the cheese because that's what it compliments. The mustard has to be on the side with meat because that's what it compliments.

7. Subway, they know me there. I'm weird about subway. (well I'm weird period). I could eat it every day. The sad thing is that I get the same sandwich every time I go. I have never accept once gotten something else and it was a salad. Not only do I have to get the same thing but it MUST go it a certain order: Italian BMT on Italian herb and cheese bread. Swiss cheese. (and in this order) cucumbers, bellpepers, pickles, and banana peppers, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Then when I eat it I open it up eat the cucumbers first, second the bell peppers, and then close it and eat the sandwich. (I know, high maintenance)

8. Boiled eggs. I love boiled eggs however the one thing that make them perfect is a little lemon pepper on the side- talk about good.

9. No oatmeal. I absolutely hate oatmeal. It is the most disgusting thing. The taste, the texture- all of it- gross.

10. Tomatoes and ketchup. I can't eat raw tomatoes. They have to be cooked or baked or, my most favorite, sun-dried! Les can just eat one like an apple, that is nasty. It has a different taste and the texture is way different. I don't eat ketchup either. BBQ sauce it a different story though.

11. Ranch. I can't eat it on a salad. I prefer the homemade kind too. The only way I'll eat it is with veggies and in salsa.

12. Straws. If I have choice I want to drink out of a straw especially if it's a fountain drink. Don't ask me why I just do.

13. I really don't want to see your food! I hate when I'm eating with people, especially at school, and their talking to me while their eating and I can see the hamburger and french fry in their mouth. chew, swallow, breathe, and then talk to me. I can wait- believe me.

14. I could never live in the north! Bland food makes me want to gag. Like when I eat crawfish, I should taste the crab boil on it and my nose should be running. Any food that doesn't open up your sinuses isn't worth eating. (ok, not all of it)

15. Pickles. I like dill, zesty, anything but sweet or bread and butter. I can't stand a sweet tasting pickle. It's called a *pickle* for a reason.

bored...

I’m sitting in my 4th hour English class bored to death. I just finished my exam. I did well actually. It wasn’t as hard as I thought. I’m really bored. I’m going to Deanna’s after this to study for Doc and Spanish. I heard that Bj is singing tonight….to what? I can’t wait to see everybody tonight. Oh, and did I mention that I am bored? I get out at 11:15.
Well, I’ve been making time to read the Word in the morning or at night and I’ve really seen a difference. Just in how clear I’m able to think. I know it sounds silly but I’m serious. I don’t feel so *ah!*. It is so refreshing. Well, I think I’ll go back to my seat now. I’m getting bored with this. I will see all of you tonight. Have fun….

15. My cell phone. when it's running out of battery.

hebrews 11:3

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

I've been thinking about Hebrews 11 a lot lately. Our home church started it last week. I've been really thinking about verse three. I'm going to try to talk this out the best I can as clearly as I can because I understand exactly what I'm thinking but it's hard to put it to words. We started studying evolution in Biology the same week we stared Hebrews 11. (take note of that). Verse 3 says that by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Now- if I asked anyone of you if you believed that God made the earth you would immediately say yes without second guessing. There is no doubt in your mind that God created the earth. The theory of evolution isn't even an option but rather quite silly. Well how do you "know" or understand that God created it? In verse 3 it says by faith. So that sureness, that unquestionable belief, that "knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt" that God created the earth, that is faith.
Now, when things are going wrong or (money is a good example) if there's not enough money for the bills, we freak out and then say we have faith. The more I looked at it the more I asked myself "When I say I have faith, God will take care of it, is it that same kind of faith and sureness I have when I say He created the world?" and I began to realize- I don't, it isn't the same. It's more like a hope or wish. I "hope" God will take care of it. I say I believe He will but yet am still unsettled inside. If faith is what is described in verse 3 then what do we really have? Is it really faith? Or do we just cover our worry and doubt and unbelief (which is sin) with a bunch of words that sound good but don't really do anything? We should be able to look at our school, jobs, households, finances, and have the same faith that God has it under control as we have that He made the world by the word.
That was just something neat I had seen. I want feed back too. I tried to explain it the best I could.

A busy week ahead and no more energy left...

I'm gonna be so busy this week with school. I hate it when all your teachers try to cram everything in before mid-terms. All I keep saying is "two more weeks till I'm done with school for this year". I'm fighting my mind and flesh- keeping myself calm about mid-terms because I WILL NOT END UP IN THE HOSPITAL THIS YEAR!!!!! I am not going to allow that to happen. Even though my body is and has been whacked out for months I have to keep going. I *feel* like I can't do it anymore, but I *know* that I can and unfortunately have to. I know that this is all just a distraction to keep me away from the Word and hearing Him speak. That's what we talked about today in home church. Not letting the things of this world distract or deceive us. When that happens it chokes the work that God is doing. We have to be steadfast in fellowship and relationship with one another and steadfast in faith. We can't allow ourselves to have any idol time. We are starting to study faith. Its hard to put to death the flesh to read the word. To get up that 10 minutes early to spend time in His presence. All I want is God to show me my heart. I'll have to post later about what happened to me Friday at school.

thirteen questions bj wants me to answer....

1. When you see a dead thing in the road, do you try to see what kind of animal it was? are you joking?? of course! my head is almost out the windown (not really) but that's the fun of being on the road. yes- it is sick bj.

2. When you go into a store, do you go straight to the sales racks, or do you look around the store first? Personally I don't like shopping that much. When I go into a store I look for what I need, get it and go. If that something just happens to be spotted on a sales rack than yes.

3. Are you susceptible to a sales pitch? no- I can't stand when those people are right in your personal bubble. "get away from me!"

4. What is the number one thing you want for Christmas? A camera.

5. If you HAD to choose one, would you skydive or bungee jump? Definitely Skydive! I've always wanted to do it. I tell my Dad if we were on amazing race, me and him, I would skydrive out that plane in a heartbeat.

6. Where were you the last time you sneezed? And did anyone say "God bless you"? I was in the kitchen washing dishes at home by myself. No- the voice didn't say anything.

7. When you brush your teeth, do you also brush your tongue? Uh...YES. I must ask, who doesn't? that's like a major dental crime. But han again that's one of my OCD things- my teeth.

8. How much personal space do you require? 4 feet is a little much. It does depend on where I am also. I prefer for their to be a reasonable amount of space if possible. I don't like to feel like someone is about to knock me over.

9. Which do you prefer, silver or gold? Silver. I hate gold. gold is, I don't know, I just don't like it. Kandi can where gold- I can't.

10. Do you like reality tv? reality tv isn't reality. (but like Bj, the only show I like is American Idol.)

11. Do you like the old Willy Wonka movie or the new Willy Wonka movie better (you can insert your own movie-with-a-remake if you want)? The old one. It's funny b/c I was just talking to someone about this in 3rd hour. The new one just makes me feel weird and yes, the daddy issues bother me.

12. What is your favorite movie that you're sure no one else likes? I can't pick just one. I do like Spy Game, minus the language.

13. What is your favorite typeface? Arial- at least for now.

The Prestige

OK- I absolutly loved this movie. At first I didn't think I would like it but it was great. I can't wait to take some one else to see it just so I can watch them figure it out.

yes i'm still alive...

I know, I know. It's been over a week since I've updated- oh well. There simply just hasn't been time. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth all though at one point last week wished I had. Ask anyone who has had the chance to see me. School has been freakishly busy. First 16 reports and then a 256 punnentt and product rule post with 81 different penotypes and 27 different genotypes, plus the 6 tests a week. Tonight was the first night that I got to spend time and talk to my best friends in forever. It was kind of awkward for the first 5 minutes but then in slid right into stupidly funny mode. I miss every one. I know I haven't gone out when everyone else has and I've wanted to. It's just hard sometimes between not seeing my dad till the weekends and I've been sick. I do miss you all and hope things will slow down. We have to have a game night this week. I need my fix.
So what is this 13 Thursday thing???? I need something that will remind me to update this. By the way holly- are you done at the hospital yet?? You've had the 5 day thing up for 10 days??? I need to know if you're done. Finished..... Well I must go because I want to go do something else.

I NED HELP CHANGING MY BLOG. I KNOW HOW TO DO IT I JUST CAN'T FIX THE LITTLE THINGS. I HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT TEMPLATES I JUST NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ezekiel 20:33-38

This is a reference to the passage from Hosea:

Eze 20:33 As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you:
Eze 20:34 and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out;
Eze 20:35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face.
Eze 20:36 Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
Eze 20:37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
Eze 20:38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

something to say...

I read what Bj posted friday like 2 minutes ago and felt like sitting down on my floor in my room in the fettle position and crying my eyes out. I have also come to this point of not knowing what to do. I've found my self in this place of emptiness trying to grasp for the one thing that can fix me. The one thing that will jolt me out of this complacency I've been in. I was praying today and truly just letting God hear my heart for the first time in a long time. I think I've been afraid of actually doing that because I've been scared of what He might say. While I was praying I saw this circle. I was inside this circle, moving, moving "toward" something, only to find myself right back in the same place where I started not being able to make any progress. It was like I was just revolving around and around and as soon as I realized that I just kept going around I gave up. I was ok with it. That is how it's been- I've found myself not caring really about moving forward- like I've forgotten, and even tried to justify it. I know that I can't do it on my own- I can't change by myself- it has to be Him. But the want for that to happen hasn't been there. Like I said, there has been such a complacency and I don't know what to do anymore, I can't fix it. I have been going around and around and now I wonder if I will have to do this forever?
In the midst of this circle I said (it sounds strange an very immature but I don't care) I asked if He would take the biggest pair of sissors and cut that cord. I saw Him do it and as soon as it was cut it extended out in a straight line and I was progressing, moving toward, Him, To my first love.
It funny because my favorite scripture describes this so beautifully. It's in hosea, hosea 2:10. I don't understand how something like this can be so beautiful. It was like Jesus was saying this to me- straight to me.

10"Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hand.
11 I will also cause all her celebrations to cease: her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies.
12 I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said,'These are my wages that my lovers have given me; and I will make them a forest,' and the animals of the field shall eat them.
13 I will visit on her the days of the Baals, to which she burned incense, when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot me," says Yahweh.

14"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.
15 I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she will respond there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16 It will be in that day," says Yahweh, "that you will call me'my husband,' and no longer call me'my master.'
17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by name.
18 In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground. I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down safely.
19 I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.
20 I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know Yahweh.
21 It will happen in that day, I will respond," says Yahweh, "I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth;
22 and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they will respond to Jezreel.
23 I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people,'You are my people;' and they will say,'My God!"

what to say...

I haven't posted anything of importance in a while- I know that's strange for me. To be honest, I don't really know what to say. It seems like there's a gap in what God's doing and me putting it into words. I think that haven't been pressing in as much as I should be too. There has been so much going on that isn't even worth repeating. I miss everyone so much and Sunday was refreshing but also depressing because it showed me just how much I don't get to fellowship with all these people I love so much. Besides Jesus, You all are my life, a part of me, because you are all apart of the body of Christ. I must tell you though- God is really working on my Aunt. She drove home Sunday by herself and called my mom crying, no gut-sobbing. She said that it felt like everyone who testified and when Bro. Teryl started to speak it was like it was only her and that person in the room. My mom really got to talk to her and she was open to what she had to say. She wanted Nan & Teryl's phone number and said she's going to call them this week- God is so faithful! This is really an answer to prayer. The only thing we prayed was that she would hear the truth and she did. She went from not wanting to talk to my mother or any of her friends to wanting "the pastors" phone number. funny. she said that she knew God had been talking to her, she just hadn't been listening. Anyway... that just goes to show how faithful God is and how much true relationship with one another affects other people.

i did it

I finally got to do this at school. I'm not eating lunch today- I have to try to wrap up my Esther stuff for tonight. The only thing about doing this at school is that I can't control my font or anything like that.
So my week so far...
Funny. I've forgotten my art project that I spilt coke all over Saturday twice. Its do tomorrow and I still have so much left to do with it. AHHH!!! All I can say is that I hope it gets done.
Doc gave us some “biological information” yesterday and then told us that we have a test on it today. It’s not that bad- I understand it, it just takes forever to do.

Now on to something more important: Saturday we were all in the kitchen and my grandfather told us that the 24th of May (the day after school gets out) that we are leaving from New Orleans to go on a cruise!!! To Cosmel (sp?) and places around there. I am so excited- really. I love to travel as you know and it’s just another form of transportation to mark of my list- boat. All I’ve got let is train, I think. Well I must go, the bell is going to ring in like 9 minuets. I still have to go look over my stuff for Doc.

fellowship

It's funny, this fellowship thing. I was just talking the other day to a really good friend of mine that I don't get to see as much as I'd like to. I can remember that we used to be really close and then her life changed. She got married and I thought that that meant no more relationship. I remember thinking that everything was going to HAVE to be different. It was like I finally came to the understanding, two months after her being married, that she wanted fellowship with me just as much as I did with her. I just love the way God works because the time I didn't have with her, God showed me so much about relationship and then brought us back together and she has basically, over the past month, regurgitated what God had shown me. I absolutely love her and am so glad she is who she is today. Yeah, her last named changed and she can't do everything I want her to anymore - but it's not about me. That's the beauty of it, loving each other through EVERYTHING. Just because there's a change in the relationship doesn't mean that there has to be a lack of fellowship. Just calling each other. I'm telling you, it's the only thing that I hate about church in the house is the lack of fellowship with certain people. But then again it shows me that it's my responsibility to do my part. No, I don't get my "weekly fix" of those people. I have to take the initiative to do that. Ok, I should stop now, I know this is probally confusing you. I just know exactly what the fellowship thing is all about, and I know what He's done in me. I can't tell you enough how God really is faithful and steadfast. Ok, I must stop before I confuse you anymore.

revival hymn

This is one of my favorite. Clips taken from sermons of people like Leonard Ravenhill and Paris Reidhead. They made is into a video so you can read the words in the parts where you can't understand it.

faith

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His
great mercy has regenerated us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading,
reserved in Heaven for you by the power of God,
having been kept through faith to salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time; in which you greatly rejoice, yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold temptations; so that the trial of your faith
(being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire)
might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing in Him you exult with unspeakable joy, and having been glorified, obtaining the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you; searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ made clear within them, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow. To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us, they ministered the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
Therefore girding up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope for the grace
being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ, as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts
in your ignorance, but according to the Holy One
who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct, because it is written,
"Be holy, for I am holy." And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to the work of each one, pass the time of your earthly
residence in fear, knowing that y
ou were not redeemed with corruptible things,
silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ,
as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times for you, those believing in God through Him, He who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,
having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living Word of God, and abiding forever. “ 1 Peter 1:3-23

i'm legal

Yes, it's true. I now have my permit. I can drive without breaking the law (we're not under the law but under grace anyway. lol) I've been legal since Monday. Any way, that stupid test was easy- nothing about how many feet do have to stay behind an emergency vehicle (Holly).

These last couple of weeks have been rough. It seems like all hell has broke lose and the more we fight, the worse it get's. Why is that? why when we "fight" things don't seem to change? God has been showing me that it's not about the outward appearance of things, the physical things around us that He's changing, but Us. It's not about what the wind and the waves look like but about focusing our eyes on Him at all times. The moment we take our eyes off, we begin to sink, deeper and deeper into the waters of fear, selfness, self- reliance, old mind sets, pride.... the list keeps going. It's not about the all the junk but about the one how keeps you stable through it all. He’s testing us to see if we will obey. He’s seeing whose hearts are really steadfast on Him. God has been showing me where I have been “slacking off”. Where I haven’t put I the time, effort, or energy to seek first the Kingdom. It’s like I’ve, for split moments, have taken my eyes off of Him and put them one the situations around me. I’ve been sick for this whole week and haven’t been at school. The fact that my body is not working right has distracted me in ways from trusting Him. I have faith that God can and will heal me but it’s almost like it’s a test to see how well I focus on Him through rain or shine. I would like to describe it as ¼ of the Job test. I know God is faithful- am I? am I faithful enough to remain faithful through trials and temptation, or am I really so weak that I will fail every time. God is challenging my relationship with Him and it may sound like this horrible thing but there is nothing better to me. The word says in Hebrews 12: 11 “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” It actually makes me happy to think that all this is just going to produce fruit unto righteousness.
Bro. Danny sent out a word, if ya’ll haven’t read it here it is. It came at just the right time.

Trials And Temptations

"I believe that there is a big misunderstanding about temptations and trials in the church. We can look at the Old and New Testaments to see two examples of people being put on trial. In Deu 8:1-3 we read – “Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers. And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commands or not. So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” As we see from these verses God led them into the wilderness to be tested. He put them through a test to see what was in their heart. God was testing the obedience of their heart. It’s interesting to note that God chose hunger as a means to test them. Let’s not get confused though, they were not hungry to the point of starvation. God fed them everyday with manna. However the manna did not meet or quench their fleshly appetites but it did sustain their lives. They were craving meat, leaks, and onions, the things they ate while they were in bondage in Egypt. God wanted to let them know that man should not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Where does temptation come from?
James 1:12-15 shows us where temptation originates from. First of all it does not originate from God - Verse 13 - He himself does not tempt anyone. Verse 14 gives us the origin of temptation – each man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Temptation originates from our own desires. The KJV uses the word lust in the pace of desire. This is what the children of Israel did they lusted, craved, and longed for meat, leaks, onions and even the comfort that their bondage brought them in Egypt. The bottom line is this, will we give in to and be lead by and obey our lust or will we give in and obey and live by God’s word (commands)? I see this as the difference between the love of God verses the love of self. Your love for God can be proven through your obedience or lack thereof. James goes on to state that when desire conceives (takes hold of) it gives birth to sin (disobedience), and sin when it is full grown brings forth death. Many live defeated lives in the church. Many are overcome by their sin. Oh it may not be big sins such as smoking, drinking, adultery, etc... but it’s the little sins like outbursts of rage, hatred, unforgiveness, jealousy, fear, etc… that spoil God’s vineyard. Remember these sins bring forth death too.

Is God Testing You?
I would close with some questions. Is that person at your job that seems to always get the best of you from Satan or God? How about the other things in your life that seems to always get the best of you, Satan or God? I think from the truth of the word that the test is from God and Satan is and can be His agent or messenger. Make no mistake about God; He is the originator of your trail. Why is He testing You? To see if you will obey Him or not and to show you what’s in your heart and that you cannot live by your lust but only by every word that comes from His mouth. In Mat 4, Jesus not only quotes this scripture but He obeys this scripture. In every trial Jesus was tempted to do something through his fleshly appetites but He chose to submit to God and His word and obey. He didn’t do one thing the devil enticed Him to do. We can do the same. Humble yourself in the sight of God resist the devil and he will flee (James 4:7). Humility is trusting and relying upon God’s word not yourself. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal 5:16). A Spirit controlled man will not give into temptation and let sin be birthed. Trust in the Lord, hear His word, and come out of disobedience. We have the same Spirit living in us that was in Christ. Come out of defeat in Jesus name. God wants fruit from our lives so that he will be glorified (Jn 15:8). This is true abiding in Christ: hearing and obeying His word. To abide (continue or remain in God), we must abide in His love. Loving God always equals obeying God. I was reading a book this week and found a great quote which states “the love of Christ must quench the love of sin”. "

biology~gag me!

I know I said I loved biology. I do, just not what we're doing right now. I really couldn't care less about foodwebs, foodchains, mutualism, abiotic an biotic things. Ecosystems, tropic, autotrophs, and hetrotrops. I wish they had like a surgery class. That would be great! Something exciting to do with human life. Something where I can cut something open (an animal would do). I don't want to know about the nitrogen cycle, the carbon cycle, and most definitely the phosphorus cycle. All I need to know is God created it and created it for a reason, that's it. I don't have to understand all this. It's certainly not the on the top of my list. Speaking of tops of lists, neither is Spanish. Oh who am I kidding, SCHOOL for that matter isn't on the top. Oh well, I just have to deal with it. I've got like 15 more years left anyway. Why couldn't God just take us to a certain point in life and insert everything we need to know. I guess the reason is because everything has a time and a season, and we would like blow up. That's what I keep telling myself. (by the way, school really isn't that bad, it's much better than last year).

ok ok...

I have like 5 minutes to actually update this thing. I know that I haven't(sorry). The past couple of weeks have just been crazy. Between school and everything else it's like I have no time. I miss everyone so much. It's funny because God has been showing me a lot about my relationships lately. The times when I'm away from everyone is the times when God shows me the most about those people, how important everyone really does mean to me. He is reestablishing my place and confirming where I am. I know I had said in an earlier post that school has been hard. It has been. It's hard begin away from like minded people 9 hours a day 180 days a year. I come home and feel so drained. But Jesus. He is so faithful. The faithfulness of Him is the only thing that keeps me together. In the past couple of weeks He has reminded me that He is God over everything. He is God over my days, weeks, time, relationships, emotions, everything. Everything comes back to love. The first commandment God ever gave. Anyway, here is a part of 1Peter. I just happen to like it. I don't have time to explain it right now. Tell me what pops out to you.

"But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge; and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control, patience, and with patience, godliness, and with godliness, brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness, love.
For if these things are in you and abound, they make you to be neither idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he in whom these things are not present is blind and cannot see afar off and has forgotten that he was purged from his sins in the past.
Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall. For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore I will not neglect to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth. But I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by a reminder,
knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me. And I will also be diligent to cause you to always have memory of these things after my departure. For not having followed fables having been cunningly devised, but becoming eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord. For He received honor and glory from God the Father, when was borne to Him a voice from the excellent glory, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
And we heard this voice being borne from Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain.
We also have a more sure Word of prophecy, to which you do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Daystar arises in your hearts,
knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture came into being of its own private interpretation. " 2 Peter 1:5-20

charcoal

I didn't go to school today. I had a reason though, unlike an unnamed person I know (bj). I think I might have had an allergic reaction to the charcoal I used for my English project. I woke up this morning around 4 and my stomach was killing me. I was really nauseous, clammy, and so dizzy I could hardly see straight. The bottom of my feet and my palms started to itch really bad and swell up (swoll up, started to swell- I don't know how to use it). The only thing that I can think of is that I'm allergic to charcoal. I didn't eat anything different than my family and they aren't sick. I don't know, It's really weird. Oh well. I will be at school tomorrow though!

full of earth and dust

I love the words to this song. It's a David Crowder Band song called "Wholly Yours". It shows me how big He really is and how our life is just a vapor.

I am full of earth
You are heaven’s worth
I am stained with dirt, prone to depravity
You are everything that is bright and clean
The antonym of me
You are divinity
But a certain sign of grace is this
From the broken earth flowers come up
Pushing through the dirt

You are holy, holy, holy
All heaven cries “Holy, holy God”
You are holy, holy, holy
I want to be holy like You are

You are everything that is bright and clean
And You’re covering me with Your majesty
And the truest sign of grace was this
From wounded hands redemption fell down
Liberating man

But the harder I try the more clearly can I feel
The depth of our fall and the weight of it all
And so this might could be the most impossible thing
Your grandness in me making me clean

Glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
So here I am, all of me
Finally everything
Wholly, wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly
I am wholly, wholly, wholly
Yours
I am full of earth and dirt and You

john 15

I know all I've really been posting is the Word latley. Personaly I see that way more profound than anything I have to say. I was re-reading this this morning and several things jumped out at me. I just saw alot of what we talked about Sunday in here. About the difference of hearing and doing.

"I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away. And every one that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the Word which I have spoken to you.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered. And they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you. In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, so you shall be My disciples. "

Ok. Stop right here. This we all know, I'm aware of that. It is just amazing to me how the Word is living. I've read this a thousand times and it has just now really clicked. To bear fruit is the "doing" part of what I have posted earlier. It's one thing to be a fruit tree and another to actually produce fruit. It's funny because you can look at the verse that says "everyone that bears fruit, He prunes so that it may bring forth more fruit." This pruning hurts. It involves a cutting. A cutting of what? You could go now to the "uncircumcised heart" and our process of "moving on to perfection". We always say repentance is a continuous thing, do we really believe it? It seems to me we despise the very thing that will produce more fruit, fruit unto righteousness in our lives. Jesus also says here "abide in me". that didn't sound like an option but rather a command. Jesus said that if we loved Him, we would keep His commands right? right.
The definition of abide is this: to remain; continue; stay; to have one's abode; dwell; reside; to continue in a particular condition, attitude, relationship, etc. To abide in Christ, that means that we have to actually know him. "We will never hear the voice of the Lord without being in intimate relationship with him. Does Jesus know you?" Jesus said that if we don’t bear fruit we would be cast out. We can’t say we are Christians or disciples of Christ if we do not abide in Him and bear fruit.

“As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; continue in My love. If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. I have spoken these things to you so that My joy might remain in you and your joy might be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.”

Right here Jesus said that we had to abide in His love and keep His commandments. He said to love one another. There is that relationship thing. It’s not an option. We have to have fellowship with one another. We have to love one another. If we don’t, we are not considered His friends. Notice the big “IF”. You actually have to KEEP (do) something.

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you. These things I command you, that you love one another."

Jesus has chosen us to bear fruit so anything less of that is a slap in the face to Him. He said that your fruit should remain. A lot of us have this mindset of “wow, I’m doing good right now.” What is that all about? We are not called to live in an emotional high (flesh) but in the Spirit. People tend to always go uP and DoWn. Jesus said here that “your fruit should remain the same”. This doesn’t mean that you get to one place and stop; this means that you leave Egypt never to return again. The farther you walk, the closer you get to the goal, but you never regress back. You never turn around. You always stay in relationship loving one another.

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they have kept My saying, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no other did, they would not have had sin. But now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father. But that the Word might be fulfilled that is written in their Law, "They hated Me without a cause."

This right here is interesting. It seems as if he all of a sudden changes subjects but he really doesn’t. You can determine if you are of the world or abiding in Christ by the way the world looks, and treats you. He says that the world would love it’s own. Are you of the world? Is the world dead to you, or does it fascinate you? God said that he called us out of the world, to be in it, not of it. It says that since they persecuted Him, they would persecute us. Why would they persecute us? Well, why did they persecute Jesus? Because Jesus produced fruit unto righteousness. He DID things, lived them out, not just talked about them. The generation today feels uncomfortable when around someone who actually does what he says. Someone who walks the walk, not just talks the talk. This makes them uncomfortable because it shows them how flip-floppy they are. It’s been hard for me lately at school as far as this topic is concerned but there has been much grace through it all.

With this statement I will end this post for now. Really think about this.
Leonard Ravenhill once said, “And there’s no room for Him in the inn. He got a bit older and there was no room in His family, his family turned on Him. He went to the temple and the temple turned on Him. And when He died there was no room to bury Him, He died outside of the city. Well why in God’s name do you expect to be accepted everywhere? How is it that the world couldn’t get on with the holiest man that ever lived and it can get on with you and me? Are we compromised? Are we of no spiritual stature? Are we of no righteousness that reflects on their corruption?”

school...what else can i say?

School is school is school. Today in biology we did a neat experiment involving hydrogen peroxide, fire, and chicken liver. (sounds disgusting, i know) The liver was the catalase, or the enzyme that speed up something or another. We had to put 6 ml of HG in a test tube and then put a piece of liver in the tube and cover it up to let it build pressure. Then we lit the wooden stick thing and blew it out. We had to sick it in the test tube and see how many times it would light. Anyway, I know that might sound pretty boring but it's better than having to take notes for a hour. Next semester we get to dissect all sorts of things. From a worm to a cat. I'm excited. This teacher, known as Doc, is my favorite teacher so far. Well of I go to read _Night_. I actually like this one. It's interesting to hear a description of the holocaust by some one who was there and experienced everything and made it out alive.

this morning was so good in the house today

Each week I see how the Body, when brought together, fitly joined together, produces a whole word. Some have a song, some a hymn, some a scripture, a teaching and so forth, but when it is all brought together it makes a much bigger picture. It really is amazing to see how much the Holy Spirit is moving and how we are flowing in the Spirit. Today we were talking about Bro.Teryl's word on hearing. He makes some very good statement about hearing vs. Doing. Brother Pat Hayes said:"Having wisdom is thinking like God, Being wise is behaving like God!!!". That's what I think so many people don't truly understand. The past couple of months so many people have come and gone in our body. The last two weeks have just shown me that these people who have been serving God for 10, 15, 25, 30 years, the reason why they're leaving is because they feel uncomfortable. The reason is because for the past 10, 15, 25, 30 years all they have done is heard the word, but never put that word into action. Brother Teryl says in his article, "Our knowledge of God must produce obedient behavior or we will be judged for it!!!". That's a big thing. It makes you step back and truly look at your life. Am I just a hearer and not a doer? Does my life produce obedient behavior? If not we need to search our hearts and pray that God would reverse the judgments that are on us and open up our hears. Jesus said over and over when He was teaching "He that has ears, let him hear." I believe Jesus's definition of hearing and our definition are two different things. When Jesus said "hear" he meant hear and obey. It's one thing to hear how tie your shoe, it's another thing to actually do it. So many people for so many years have head and thought that was enough and Jesus is shining light on it. He's saying that hearing isn't enough. The Word says you have WORK out you salvation. It says we have to BEAR FRUIT unto righteousness. It all comes back to obedience. Jesus was obedient, why can we be like that? Why can't we just DO as we're told?
Philippians 2:27- 2:18 explains everything we talked about today. The communion even came out of this.

"Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel, and terrified in nothing by your adversaries. For this is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. For to you it is given on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake, having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me. If there is therefore any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if antendernesses and mercies, then fulfill my joy, that you may be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. Do not let each man look upon his own things, but each man also on the things of others. For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of heavenly ones, and of earthly ones, and of ones under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, cultivate your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do all things withoumurmuringgs and disputings, so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world,
holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain. Yea, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy and rejoice with you all. And you also rejoice in the same, and rejoice with me."

Amen.

psalm 136

I read this Psalm this morning. I love it. When I read anything about how great He is my heart is stirred. When I'm reminded of how great He is my worries, troubles, concerns, everything, it all just fades away. His mercy does endure forever. It reminds me that I am full of earth and dirt and He is Holy!

"O give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
O give praise to the God of gods: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
O give praise to the Lord of lords: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who only does great wonders: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him by whom the earth was stretched out over the waters: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who made great lights: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
The sun to have rule by day: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
The moon and the stars to have rule by night: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who put to death the first-fruits of Egypt: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
And took out Israel from among them: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who made a way through the Red Sea: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
And let Israel go through it: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
By him Pharaoh and his army were overturned in the Red Sea: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who took his people through the waste land: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
To him who overcame great kings: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
And put noble kings to death: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
Sihon, king of the Amorites: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
And Og, king of Bashan: for his mercy is unchanging for ever:
And gave their land to his people for a heritage: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
Even a heritage for his servant Israel: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
Who kept us in mind when we were in trouble: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
And has taken us out of the hands of our haters: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
Who gives food to all flesh: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
O give praise to the God of heaven: for his mercy is unchanging for ever."

Florida is wet.

This is not me but one of my best friends Bekah typing parts of a conversation:

My stupid other blog got messed up. So I had to make this one. I used to call my pacifier my "goony". I just made it up one day and said "I want my goony." Lemme throw this question out to ya'll... But we need to be happy while we can because my question is very solemn and grim... BJ is telling us about his new iPod that he ordered. Of course I'm sure you'll read all about it very shortly. I am now officially avoiding telling ya'll what this question is while I go on and on about my extensive iPod knowledge. Jacob's nickname is "Cob".. known to BJ as "Squirrel Food".. okay, okay.. here's the question: We were reading this book called "Night".. it's about the Holocaust.. I was thinking... I don't understand why God allowed that to happen to like 6 billion people who were "his people - the Jews".. I don't understand the reasoning behind that. You see what I'm saying? Why would God allow that to happen to "the children".. They didn't back down from their belief whether it was right or wrong, and God just allowed a whole nationality to die. My teacher made a comment.. She said it's funny how we think of the Holocaust because it was pledged that nothing like that would ever happen again in the world... but it's happening in Iraq and the middle east all over the place.

Jordan changed the subject and went serious then started talking about her gopher lip.. then went serious again.

Just so ya'll know: This is how a typical conversation with my friends goes. This is part of who I am.
