I read this Psalm this morning. I love it. When I read anything about how great He is my heart is stirred. When I'm reminded of how great He is my worries, troubles, concerns,everything, it all just fades away. His mercy does endure forever. It reminds me that I am full of earth and dirt and He is Holy!
"O give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.

To him who only does great wonders: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.

The sun to have rule by day: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.

Who kept us in mind when we were in trouble: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.

wow. to him who ONLY does GREAT wonders. You know, sara groves has a quote on her website from mother theresa "you can do no great things, only small things with great love." and this verse totally negates that. God does ONLY GREAT things. and if we are to be perfect even as the father in heaven is perfect, then we can only do great things as well. if we are in his plan and doing what he wants us to do, then we will do great things. because God chooses to work through people. yes, it's God who gets the glory, but it's his people that do the work. or rather, he works through his people to accomplish his goals. his great wonders.
maybe that doesn't make sense.
It makes perfect sense.
